TURKISH LANGUAGE TEACHING

Our department was established in 1995 and started to admit students in the academic year 1995-1996. We also started to admit students to the evening education program in the academic year 1996-1997. However, the admission of students to the evening education program was ceased throughout the country in the academic year 2011-2012. Our department has maintained its education and training activities until today without interruption. The undergraduate levels of our department are divided into two groupings as A and B, therefore we have 2 different student groups in each undergraduate level. The purpose of our department is to train Turkish language teachers that our country needs in education.

Our graduates have several job opportunities, such as working in public and private schools, giving private courses, and also working in Yunus Emre Institute and Radio-Television Supreme Council.

Our department offers doctoral and master programs, and has the master program of Teaching Turkish as Foreign Language.

TURKISH PEOPLE WHO KNOW HOW TO PROTECT THE SUPREME INDEPENDENCE OF THEIR COUNTRY MUST SAVE THEIR LANGUAGE FROM THE HEGEMONY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES. (1930)
