Students of the Department of Geography Education Carried Out Field Work in Çimenlik Castle and Aynalı Çarşı

3rd grade students of the Department of Geography Education carried out field work at Aynalı Çarşı and Çimenlik Castle (Kale-i Sultaniye) in Çanakkale city center on November 10, 2023. A group of 12 students participated in the field study leaded by Lecturer Gülsen Erginal. Within the scope of the study, information was given about the history of Aynalı Çarşı, its gate inscription and its importance in the promotion of Çanakkale, the history of Çimenlik Castle, its bastions, bonets, as well as its importance during the 1915 Çanakkale Battles. A theater play about the Gallipoli Wars was also performed for our students in the castle. The field work ended after visiting the 100th Anniversary exhibition.
