Students of the Department of Geography and Social Studies Education carried out field work in the Ancient City of Troy and Troy Museum
Students of the Department of Geography and Social Studies Education carried out field work at the Ancient City of Troy and Troy Museum on December 20, 2023. A group of 42 students participated in the field study conducted by Lecturer Gülsen Erginal. Within the scope of the study, observations were made in the Ancient City of Troy, Tevfikiye Archaeological Village and Troy Museum. In the study guided by expert archaeologist Hüdai Süha Can from the Troy Museum, our students were given detailed information about the settlement history of the ancient city of Troy, excavation history and current excavations, Troy mythology, findings obtained, and the cultural layers of Troy. In addition, explanations were made about the cultural assets obtained from the archaeological sites in the Troas region and exhibited in the Troy Museum. The field work ended after the visit to Tevfikiye Archaeological Village.
